HGV Laser AM Wheel Alignment Tutorial - How To Perform a Run-out With The Josam Laser AM
The video demonstrates this Josam Laser AM run-out procedure:
- Rotate the wheel until the silver adjustment knob is pointing straight up.
- Rotate the laser so it is in line with the silver knob.
- Rotate the wheel until the laser shines on the scale.
- Move the scale until the laser shines on the 200 line. Ensuring the scale 4 metres from the laser.
- Rotate the laser back 180°, keeping it in line with the silver knob.
- Rotate the wheel until the laser shines on the scale again.
- Measure the distance the laser has moved from the 200 line. For example 6 mm.
- Move the scale half that distance towards the laser dot. For example 3 mm.
- Adjust the silver knob until the laser shines on the 200 line.
- Rotate the laser 90° so it is in line with the black knob.
- Rotate the wheel until the laser shines on the scale.
- Adjust the black knob until the laser shines on the 200 line.
- Rotate the wheel, checking that the laser stays on the 200 line.
